 INTRODUCTION

There Today Couriers Ltd is a North West based parcels company with over 30 years industry experience. We deliver documents, data, parcels and  pallets on a same day or next day basis, both nationally and internationally.

The terms ‘you’, ‘your’ and ‘yours’ refers to customers, prospective customers, suppliers, sub contractors, business partners and employees.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

The information you provide will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation 2016.

We will not pass information on to third parties for marketing or other purposes without first seeking your consent.

We are committed to the privacy and confidentiality of the information provided by you to us.

This Privacy Notice describes how There Today Couriers Ltd collects, stores and uses personal information. We have a legal duty to protect any information that we collect from you, or about you.  We use appropriate procedures and technologies  to safeguard your details  and adhere to strict security standards to prevent unauthorised access to it.

By submitting personal data manually or in electronic form to us, or by using our website, you are giving us your consent that the data may be processed by us.

INFORMATION WE PROCESS

Personal Information

Can include your job title, business contact details, personal mobile phone number and business bank account.

The Personal Information you provide us with will be used for the purpose of quoting for and supplying our courier services, dealing with any queries or complaints arising and processing supplier and sub contractor invoices

Sensitive Personal Information

Can include your name, address, date of birth, gender, National Insurance number, driving licence and passport numbers, bank details, information about your health or disability needs, your CV, references, pension details and any unexpired term under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974

This information  is normally processed for employees only for the purpose of paying wages, deducting tax and national insurance, any pension contributions and keeping HR records

2. We will not use your Personal or Sensitive Personal Information except for the specific purpose for which you provide it, to carry out the services  and duties  as listed above

COLLECTING AND STORING PAPER AND ELECTRONIC INFORMATION

If you contact us via an electronic  method, we may record the source such as:-

  • Your internet address
  • Your e mail address
  • Your facebook profile
  •  Your twitter username

The contact methods listed above will undoubtedly change over time and are therefore not definitive

If you contact us by landline or mobile phone, we will record your telephone number on our  software systems.

If you contact us by letter or fax, we will scan the hard copy to a password protected computer file and shred the original.

WHO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH

 To ensure continuity in service, we may share your Personal Information with other courier companies and individuals at delivery and collection points. We will respond to any requests from law enforcement agencies, fraud detection, credit reference and debt collection agencie

In addition and in relation to our employees, we will share  sensitive personal information with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, the Department of Work and Pensions, our Pension Provider and our company Bank.

THE TRANSFER OF INFORMATION OUTSIDE THE EEC

By the nature of our courier business we may transfer some of your personal information to other countries, including countries outside the European Economic Area.  Appropriate safeguarding measures will be taken to protect your personal information.

ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION

You have a right to know what personal information we hold about you.  If you would like to know the details of this information, please contact us at the office address.  We may ask you for ID before releasing this information

  • Tell you why we are holding it
  • Tell you who it could be shared with
  • Give you a copy of the information

 

CONSENT TO STORE AND PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION

By providing us with your personal information you give your consent for us to   process it, disclose it, transfer it and retain it for the purposes set out in this notice.

If you do not consent to us processing your information or you withdraw your consent, we may be unable to provide you with our services.

 

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE YOUR PERSONAL DATA ERASED IF:

·       The personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose which we originally collected or processed it

·       We are relying on your consent as our lawful basis for holding the data, and you withdraw your consent

·       You object to the processing of your data, and there is no overriding legitimate interest for us to continue this processing

·       We are processing the personal data for direct marketing purposes and you object to that processing

·       We have processed the personal data unlawfully

DATE RETENTION PERIODS

Accounts and Payroll records will be kept for 7 years. After that  time electronic records will be permanently erased  from computer files and paper records will be shredded

 

CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE

This Privacy Notice applies from 25/5/18 and will be reviewed annually with any changes being made to our website.
